Lunch Program

Reminder to Parents: During this difficult economic period, please keep in mind that the National School Meal Program is available any time during the school year. Applications are available in the school’s main office and online.

As another exciting school year begins, we wanted to take an opportunity to inform you of recent changes to our school meal program in the Levittown School District:

$2.00 - Elementary Grades 1-5
$2.25 - Middle School / High School
$3.00 - Adults (All Levels)

The Levittown School District is proud to offer the Free & Reduced Meal Program for families that meet certain income guidelines. If you feel that your family may qualify for this federally funded program, please pick up an application from your local school.

The district continues to offer a breakfast program at our Middle and High Schools. The breakfast program is available to all students every weekday morning. No advance registration is necessary; your child can attend every day or only occasionally. These meals provide your child with ¼ of their nutritional needs each day. School Breakfast is an ideal solution on mornings when children cannot have breakfast at home. Whatever the reason, if breakfast at home is not convenient, please take advantage of breakfast here at school. In the Middle Schools, breakfast meals are served from 7:10am-7:30am. In the High Schools, meals are served starting at 7:00am. Students who are eligible for free or reduced lunch are automatically eligible for free or reduced breakfast.

The district is also continuing to implement a new computerized cafeteria system. This system will provide more options for paying for meals and will afford increased confidentiality to students receiving free or reduced meal prices. If you have any questions regarding the new system, please contact Jennifer Gundersen at 520-8470 x123.

As we all recognize that hungry children cannot learn, the first step towards addressing this issue is ensuring that all students receive the nutrition they need during the school day. Thank you for your continued help in this endeavor.
